More Pokemon GO Details Released ! See How Charmeleon Evolves

From June 24th to 26th, a weekend party for gamers was carried out in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Shenzhen. Its name—indieACE Game Jam. Organized by GIGA, indieACE Game Jam attracted the presence of nearly a thousand people this year. This largest 48-hour extreme game development event in China made the past weekend an enjoyable gathering for gamers and game developers. Participants are required to work on various games following given themes within 48 hours. It’s also a good time to establish friendship and seek chances.
As a part of 2016 indiePlay commencing in the end of July, indieACE Game Jam has done a good job—around 200 games came out across the country covering platforms like PC, mobile, VR and board. They are so creative that even have gameplay beyond your imagination. Results will be released and awarded at indiePlay.
Theme of indieACE Game Jam
The theme of this year’s Game Jam is inspired from a painting from artist Qiu Dandan, which seems to be “queuing”, “door”, “black house” at first sight, while expresses the concept of order, humanity thinking, and pure black and white colors. It requires participants to think carefully during their development. Although many said their brain was blank when they saw the theme firstly, they still made wonderful works.
48-hour extreme game development is very strict, for participants must form their own teams as soon as possible. After that, team members have to get inspiration from each other and get suitable position in the team. Since the time is limited, they have to solve many unexpected problems and may not be able to do it like in normal development. Team members have to be accustomed to each other and rush into the high-speed development as a whole team. Even though many of them are experienced, the new comers are often in a muddle. But since it is a great chance to show and challenge themselves, they felt it very worthwhile.
The last step of the 48 hours work is display on stage, including illustrating the game content and gameplay to make your audience clear about what the game is. Discussion is the following part. No matter you are a Game Jam veteran or a freshman, this final presentation represents what you did in the 48 hours directly.

Creation section of 2016 Game Jam has completed already, but participants are still discussing in Wechat and QQ groups on their thoughts about this year’s theme and games. Reviewing of all works came out at Game Jam is ongoing, and the results will be published next week. All nominated games will be displayed during 30th and 31st of July in Shanghai at indiePlay 2016 indie game meeting+display+awarding ceremony+carnival. Please stay tuned with us for further reports.
