No Man’s Sky Delayed, Death Threats Flew to Developers

Hello Games founder Sean Murray announced last week that No Man’s Sky will be delayed from the original June 21 to release on August 9 in North America, August 10 in Europe, and August 12 in the UK.

Shortly after that, Murray tweeted that Hello Games developers have received “loads of death threats this week”, and they’ll keep on.

No Man’s Sky Delayed, Death Threats Flew to Developers

As he said in the PlayStation blog post, “We understand that this news is disappointing. Making this game is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, but we are so close now, and we’re prepared to make the tough choices to get it right.” “This is the hardest working, most talented team I’ve ever worked with, and I’m so proud of what we’re doing. For all our sakes though, we get one shot to make this game and we can’t mess it up.”

It’s totally understandable that two more months waiting is very tough for fans, but death threats? Can’t see any meaning of doing that to the developers for the game you want to play.
