Sid Meier’s Civilization V came out in 2010. Six years later, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this franchise, Firaxis announced that Civilization VI will be released on October 21.

Here's the trailer:

According to the developer, big changes are settled in Sid Meiers' Civilization 6.

"We noticed that there are certain key approaches that people all share in common. We're sort of in a rut, where all the players are playing Civ 5 the same way…….We want to stop players from falling into patterns," said director Ed Beech, "We want players to build their empires differently every time."

"We're adding these levels of distinction to the way you settle the world," Beech says. "Each time you settle your first city, start producing food, gold, culture, science, and everything vital to growth, we want it to feel different. We want you to consider your military differently. We want to encourage new approaches. We want it to feel like a new experience each time."

Here are some details:

In Civilization 6, cities are formed by different districts as separate titles with distinct functions. Around 10 to 12 different types are available for players to put around the cities.
