Crytek’s The Climb is Now Available on Oculus

Crytek’s The Climb launches Oculus Rift on April 28th. A launch trailer is also outed to celebrate and disclose more about the game.

The Climb is inspired by climbing in real life, providing various modes for gamers to learn, practice, explore, and compete.

In the trailer, you can see some gameplay footages, like using the two Oculus controllers to grap somewhere on the mountain, or climb over a rope, ladder, or even funicular. Besides the immersive gameplay, the breathtaking environment adds lots of extra points for it.

But please be careful of the dizzy height when you climb the rocks. The modes are:

l  Free solo climbing – Experience the adrenaline as you ascend to epic heights, explore caves, find shortcuts, and more.

l  Bouldering – Beat intense routes that demand perfect technique and puzzle solving. Tourist mode – Climb at your own pace with simplified mechanics. This mode is ideal for introducing friends to VR.

l  Multiplayer and achievements – Race other players’ ghosts, rise up leaderboards, and earn 99 achievements to unlock custom gear.

l  Training modes – Hone your skills in tutorials and see long you can last on an endless wall.

l  Outstanding environments – Become immersed in beautifully rendered, atmospheric locations at day and by night.

The Climb is now available on Oculus Store for $50, support for the Oculus Touch controllers will come out later.

“ Get ready to race to the top of leaderboards, beat intense bouldering challenges, explore beautiful environments, and feel the vertigo and adrenaline of each and every ascent. “
